Alert troops of the Border Security Force have neutralised one intruder and successfully foiled an infiltration bid on the international border in Jammu.
The official spokesman here on Saturday said that in the intervening night of April 4-5, the BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the International Border in the Jammu area.
“The troops observed an intruder crossing IB, following which he was challenged but paid no heed and kept on moving,” he said.
The spokesman added that the BSF troops sensing a threat neutralised the intruder, adding, “The identity and motive of the intruder is being ascertained.”
Vigilant BSF troops thwarted an infiltration attempt while a strong protest is being lodged with counterparts, he said.
