The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday promoted five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including Neha Jain, who is currently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Neha Jain is the only IPS officer from her batch presently posted in the Jammu and Kashmir segment to have been elevated. Another officer on the promotion list, Anurag Daru, has earlier served in Jammu and Kashmir and had also undergone a part of his professional training in the Union Territory.
The other IPS officers promoted by the MHA include Akshat Aayush, Akanksha Milind Tamgadge and Aashish Kumar.(KINS)
