Srinagar: Taking strong cognizance of obscene and immoral messages circulated by the leading semi government cellular company Bharat Sanchar Nigham Limited, the Huriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani warned a mass boycott of the company if it doesn’t stop such messaging immediately.

In a statement issued here the ailing leader said that Jammu & Kashmir has remained a rich state of cultural and moral values and the government institutions under the agenda of cultural aggression want to eliminate these values of the state on different fronts so that this nation will also take the same route of the destroyed nations and along with the freedom struggle, their mental affiliation will also get weakened.

 They party spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the people who are using the BSNL SIM cards are regularly and continuously receiving the obscene messages in which some selected telephone numbers and name of girls with their age are given to lure them for vulgar talking with the girls assigned by the company for the same job.

He said besides all this the government service provider sends so obscene messages to its customers which any  civilized person can avoid to read  as he feels ashamed. 

He said that BSNL is a government institution and these kinds of shameful activities of such an organization is proof of this fact that these things are not only done in the pursuit of earning money but it has a well thought agenda at its back which is aimed to destroy the moral character of teenagers and youths of Kashmir.

The party condemned these obscene actions of the BSNL telecom company and warned it to desist from such practice or face the mass boycott of its services by the people of Kashmir. 

Spokesman said that Hurriyat Conference (G) does not believe in force or might but the actions or the elements which are against the moral values should not be thrusted upon them forcibly.
