In a strong show of solidarity, the Akhil Bhartiya Purv Sainik Seva Parishad (All India Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association) on Friday extended full support to BJP candidate Devyani Rana, lauding her commitment, integrity, and dedication to public service.
BJP in a statement issued to news agency KINS said that ex-servicemen from Nagrota, Dansal, Surinsar, and Gharota-Mathwar attended the event, which began with a two-minute silence to honour soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Devyani Rana expressed heartfelt gratitude for the veterans’ support and spoke emotionally about her admiration for the Armed Forces.
“My heart beats for our honourable Indian Defence Forces. I consider myself truly fortunate if I can serve our brave soldiers and their families in any way possible,” she said.
She added that her late father, Devender Rana, devoted his life to the welfare of Nagrota’s people. “His dream was to see every youth empowered, every family prospering, and every soldier respected. I see it as my sacred duty to carry forward his unfinished mission of holistic development,” she noted.
Brigadier Balbir Singh Sambyal, SM, President of the Akhil Bhartiya Purv Sainik Seva Parishad, underscored the need for honest and dynamic leadership.
“We want politicians who are role models for all. The time has come to ensure the victory of a leader who represents integrity, commitment, and youth energy — and Ms. Devyani Rana embodies all these qualities,” he said.
Col. Sukhvir Mankotia (Retd) also praised Rana’s sincerity and dedication. “Leaders like Ms. Devyani Rana are a great asset to our Union Territory. We firmly believe she will work tirelessly for our motto — Desh Hith, Samaj Hith, aur Sainik Hith,” he remarked.
The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, as all participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening democratic values and contributing to nation-building.
The enthusiastic participation and unanimous endorsement by ex-servicemen have given a significant boost to Devyani Rana’s campaign in Nagrota, reflecting growing confidence in her leadership among disciplined and nationalist sections of society.(KINS)
