J&K Police arrests absconder evading arrest for 7 years in Kulgam

Continuing its crackdown on absconders and proclaimed offenders, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a wanted accused who had been evading arrest for the past seven years in Kulgam.

The accused, identified as Mohammad Fareed Bajard, son of Mohammad Qasim, resident of Gundah Khawas, Rajouri, was wanted in FIR No. 74/2018 under Sections 323 and 354 RPC of Police Station Yaripora. Acting on specific intelligence, a police team traced and apprehended him after sustained efforts.

Following completion of legal formalities, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court.

J&K Police reiterated its firm commitment to bringing absconders and proclaimed offenders to justice, ensuring that no one evading law remains beyond its reach.(KINS)
