Two Army jawans sustained injuries during a gunfight between security forces and terrorists in Machhedi area of Kathua district on Monday.
Official sources said that the terrorists attacked the Army vehicle in village Badnota in Block Lohai of Machhedi.
“The Army troops fired at the terrorists and the encounter began,” the sources said.
Police, however, added that exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces erupted in the Machedi area of Kathua district.
“Two Army personnel injured. Massive search operation has been launched,” police added.
