Mirwaiz,s father-in-law passes away

Hurriyat chairman’s Mirwaiz Umar Farooq’s father- in- law, Ghulam Sibtain Masoodi passed away last night.

A statement by Mirwaiz’s office said Masoodi passed away in the late hours of the night after a prolonged illness.

The funeral prayers will be offered at Jamia Masjid in old Srinagar.

“Later, he will be buried at his ancestral graveyard in Khrew, Pampore,” the statement said.

A well-respected medical professional, Masoodi spent 28 years of his life in the United States.
