PM Modi embarks on four-day visit to UK and maldives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday departed for a four-day official visit to the United Kingdom and the Maldives, expressing optimism that the trip will further deepen India’s relations with both nations.

In a statement issued before departure, the Prime Minister highlighted the growing strategic partnership between India and the UK, noting that the relationship has seen significant progress in recent years.

Modi emphasized that the two countries collaborate across a wide spectrum of areas, including trade and investment, technology and innovation, defence, education, research, sustainability, healthcare, and strong people-to-people connections.

He said the visit reflects India’s commitment to enhancing global partnerships that contribute to mutual growth and regional stability.(KINS)
