Ram Charan praises Jagapathi Babu as makers unveil ‘Peddi’ poster

Date:

The makers of Ram Charan’s upcoming film ‘Peddi’ have unveiled a new character poster, giving fans their first look at Jagapathi Babu in the film.

Jagapathi Babu shared the poster on his X account, revealing his transformation as ‘Appala Soori’, a role that appears vastly different from his usual on-screen personas.

In the poster, the actor is seen sporting a rugged, aged look, dressed in a simple shirt with a towel draped over his shoulder and wearing traditional spectacles, hinting at a grounded and realistic character.

Sharing the poster, Jagapathi Babu wrote, “Honoured and super glad to be ‘APPALASOORI’ in ‘Peddi’. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this role. ‘Peddi’ worldwide release on 27th March, 2026.”

Ram Charan also took to social media to share the poster and expressed his admiration for Jagapathi Babu’s performance.

“The intensity he brings to the screen is unmatched. Glad to have the dearest IamJagguBhai garu playing ‘APPALASOORI’ in our Peddi,” the actor wrote.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is billed as a rustic emotional drama, with music composed by A.R. Rahman. Earlier this year, the makers released a teaser titled ‘Peddi First Shot’ on Ram Navami, featuring Ram Charan in a rugged avatar as he walks through a dusty field, lights a beedi, and delivers the line, “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.”

The film stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Satya. Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings under the banner Vriddhi Cinemas. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
