Three arrested with arms in J&K’s Bandipora, case lodged under UAPA

Security forces apprehended three individuals in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district late Tuesday night and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession, officials said on Tuesday.


The arrests were made at a checkpoint jointly set up by security forces.

According to officials, the suspects attempted to flee upon spotting the naka, prompting a swift chase by personnel.

“All three individuals were arrested and some arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession, ” officials said.

A case has been registered at Police Station Aragam under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Further investigation is currently underway.
