Security forces arrested two militant associates in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
They said Kulgam Police, along with the Army’s 1 Rashtriya Rifles and the 18 battalion CRPF, apprehended two terrorist associates at a checkpoint at Matalhama Chowk, Thokerpora, Qaimoh.
The arrested persons were identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat and Mohammad Ismail Bhat, both residents of Thokerpora, Qaimoh.
“After search, arms ammunition, including two pistols, 25 pistol rounds, two pistol magazines were recovered from their possession,” police said.
Police said a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Qaimoh and investigation has been initiated.
