Four people, including a couple, were killed and two others were injured when a car rams into a stationary truck in the Ikdil area of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and has directed for proper treatment of the injured.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amit Kumar Singh said that the incident took place in the morning when the car rammed into a truck parked on the roadside from behind, killing four people while two others were injured. All the victims of the accident were going to Hamirpur, he said.
He said that Shiv Sharan Prajapati, his wife Shobharani Prajapati, Ram Avtar, and the car driver Ashu were killed in the accident, while Poonam (29) and Rakhi (3) were admitted to the Saifai Medical University in critical condition.
