Veteran footballers frame ad-hoc committee of Jammu District Assn

The veteran players on Friday have constituted the Jammu District Football Association here in a meeting.

As per the official communique, 33 registered Football Clubs of District Football Association (DFA), Jammu discussed the prevailing state of affairs of football in Jammu District vis-a-vis stay given by Jammu and Kashmir High Court for election of District body.

The general secretaries of the clubs present in the meeting unanimously decided to frame an ad-hoc Committee for which the permission has been given by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association for resumption of stagnant football activities of Jammu till vacation of stay by the Court.

The Ad-hoc committee consists of former footballers Ramesh Chander, David Masih, Mohit Verma and Kamaljeet Kumar

“The committee will look after the affairs of football activities of District Jammu,” read the handout.

It further said that the nominated committee has taken decision with approval of all the associate members present in the meeting that registration for 2023-2024 session for senior division clubs should be submitted to Yusaf Don, Rakesh Kumar (for submitting registration at Parade Ground)

and Rajesh Sumbria, Kamaljeet Kumar (for submitting registration at GGM Science College Ground) as per the convenience of the clubs by or before July 8, 2023.
